The brief -
The Client, an avid Twitch streamer and Final Fantasy fan wanted a custom character for their gaming channel, Facebook and eventually to sell products.
I was a bit nervous taking on this project because I normally don’t draw complex characters. I started out with a 3D rendering to figure out the pose for the character. I researched steam punk clothing, Final Fantasy character styles, and fantasy armor. The Client almost always has a set of headphones on and a vest, I thought it was fitting the character wears these pieces to. The DuoAsi character is also accompanied by a unique Moogle.
This was the end result.

SKETCHES and variations >>>
For this project I decided to do everything digitally to change things up, ultimately I do want to do this kind of work more. The sketching process was a lot of fun. I sent the sketch to the customer, once approved I proceeded with the coloring.
The gradient of colors is inspired by Final Fantasy logos. The Client wanted green and blue together. In this project I learned how to create cross gradients in the outline and in the body of the logo.
FINAL LOGO USAGE & CREATIVE >>>
“I [wanted to improve] my business and was looking to invest in a logo to represent both my own image and what I create.
After looking around, I contacted Mrs. Fast, and upon hearing my request we were able to negotiate the finer details,
and directions I was hoping to go towards. Through the process she was courteous and professional.
When I asked questions, she was prompt in responding.
As she progressed I was given updates of progress examples of what was done and given time
to change things when I felt it needed to with no fuss. The final product was more then I had hoped
and I plan to utilize her again in the future for more projects.”
