Pink Tangerine BEAUTY >>>
The brief -
The Client, a designer nail studio owner wanted a retro 70's inspired logo. My client loved flamingos, bright colors, hotel signs and all things RETRO. Their friend designed a really fun sketch for this project. I was then tasked to simplify the design and condense down all the elements into one Super Fun logo!
Over the course of several years, I designed all over logo printed nail mats, so they could easily Instagram their photo with their logo on it. A few years down the road the Client wanted a large wall decal made for their new studio space, I worked with a local business to get that made. The business cards were the final project, keeping with the retro vibes but with a modern twist.

SKETCHES and variations >>>
The Clients’ friend drew this as a starting off point for their logo. I sat down with the Client to generate a simplified version of the logo that they were thrilled with.
The colors were focused on neon and pastels, retro vibe. The blue was particularly hard to nail down. Client wanted a Tiffany blue but settled on this grunge pastel aqua.
FINAL LOGO USAGE & CREATIVE >>>
“I commissioned work from Rochelle several years ago when I was getting my business going.
She was my client at the time, so I decided to also use her services.
One of the main things I was looking for in a design artist was I had a specific and detailed picture in my mind
what wanted; what mood I wanted to convey, and I needed to get that message across effectively. Transference of my thoughts were
very important to me. When she hit it-we just knew it was “the one.”
My logo is a combination of kitschy, atomic, mid-century motel sign feel with soft retro
color palette and crisp, clean, lines-all which would reflect the tone of my artistic business, personal style, and studio.
I wanted a logo that would hold up for years withstand trends; while also keeping a foot in the door
for future divisions under that name, if I so desired.
We met maybe two or three times with sketches and saved inspirational photos and
she was not only able to deliver what I wanted, she gave me more.
Down the line when I asked for more colour combinations for use in social media advertising, she again came
through with exactly what I wanted within a day. That image has represented me well.
It’s been about 8 years now and I am still proud and impressed with my logo that can easily
stand up to any brand logos on the market. She was able to take my ideas, transform and elevate them
onto paper with ease of communication, and meet deadlines without any glitches.”
